Aqua Classes for pregnant women and new mothers

Are you looking for a safe an effective way to exercise in pregnancy?

Have you recently had a baby and are unsure about how to get back into shape?

Aqua Aerobics for pregnant women and new mothers is a class that has been specifically developed by pregnancy and postnatal rehab fitness expert Nina Parnham, to help you to achieve your goals.

Classes are every Wednesday evening at 7pm at the Holiday Inn London Road, (near Copdock roundabout). They last 45 minutes and include a warm up, light cardio section and resistance using water and Aqua equipment.

You do not have to be a confident swimmer and all new participants are verbally screened prior to entry to the class to ensure safety.

Classes are £4.80 per session, you don’t have to book in advance and non-members are most welcome.

  • Free parking is available and a towel is given for use whilst at the pool.

Baby Music & Massage Class

  • Aged 4 months-crawling.

When your baby is older and more wriggly it is harder to keep baby massage going: All they want to do is wriggle around!

  • £5.00 per session payable weekly

This class maintains the philosophy of the International Association of Infant Massage and follows on from the strokes you have already learnt through a Baby Senses baby massage course or with your health visitor/ Sure Start centre.

In the classes we will: Introduce music and songs, Use gentle movements, Learn over clothes massage techniques using the IAIM strokes, Have quality 1:1 time with our babies, Have fun with toys, stories and our mummies!

Baby Senses Baby Massage

Birth Trauma Association (The) (BTA)

The Birth Trauma Association (BTA) supports all women who have had a traumatic birth experience.

It is estimated that, in the UK alone, this may result in 10,000 women a year developing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Also, as many as 200,000 more women may feel traumatised by childbirth and develop some of the symptoms of PTSD.

  • The BTA wants women to know that they are not alone.

But Cooking with toddlers can be messy, takes preparation, and requires a certain amount of dedication to the cause. This is where Crafty Cooks comes in. Children can come along to a safe environment, and in small groups have great fun cooking completely from scratch.

TOTS

Our aim with TOTS is to provide a place which is welcoming, accepting and ‘fun-to-be-in’. 

To create a well-equipped safe and stimulating environment where young children can learn both through play together and also through more ‘structured’ and ‘creative’ activities such as art and craft, cutting, painting, collage, play dough etc.
